Welcome to the Winelands projects!

The Winelands projects is an opportunity for finalists in the different categories, to take part in a pageant of an excellent standard, with great prizes, solid, well known sponsors and dedicated organizers.
At first, it started in 2007, with only Miss Winelands pageant, and the first Miss Winelands, Jessica Hodgkinson from Stellenbosch, was crowned in 2007 and proven to be a true roll model for those to follow.

From 2009 the following pageants were held: Miss Winelands (ladies from 18 - 24years), Miss Winelands Teen (school girls from 15 - 18years) , Mr Winelands (married or unmarried men from 21 - 35 years) - and young people of all ages are eager to take part in this elegant and glamorous competition. The Little Miss Winelands pageant was launched in March 2010 and due to the huge success, this pageant will also be a regular. These titles, like Miss Winelands and Miss Winelands Teen, Mr Winelands and Little Miss Winelands, are sought after titles by people with beauty, personality, passion for people and inner strength.

In 2012 some new categories will be included in the Winelands Projects: Miss Winelands Petite, at the end of January 2012, for ladies aged 18and 25, not taller than 1,7m; Little Mr Winelands on the same dates as Little Miss Winelands with gala event on 10th March 2012; Mr Winelands Junior, for unmarried men between the ages of 15 and 20 years of age and combined with the 3 already well established pageants: Miss, Miss Teen and Mr Winelands.

In 2011 a fresh and new, very unique pageant will be launched, i.e. Winelands Winter Queen, for ladies between ages 25 and 45 years of age, married or not, divorced or not, with children or not.......all the lovely, well kept women, who want to make a difference in the world, by using their charm, people skills and beauty to help other people, less fortunate than them.

The above mentioned pageant will take another step in the right direction, and will also be in two categories in 2012, i.e. Winelands Winter Queen for ladies between ages 25 and 39 AND Winelands Winter Queen Mature for ladies between ages 40 and 56!

The Mr, Miss & Miss Teen Winelands and Winelands Winter Queen competitions are not only about external beauty - these are competitions where the organizers are looking for people with radiant looks, sparkling personalities and inner beauty as well as a passion for people. They have to be people with empathy for the less fortunate - people or animals - and the strength and vision to make a difference.

In the winelands, with its breathtaking views and unsurpassed beauty, the people are the heartbeat of this area. The people selected to be the ambassadors for this area, have the wonderful opportunity to give back to the community in a very special way.

Huge success also came the Winelands's way in the 2010/2011:
a) Miss Winelands Teen 2010 was selected as finalist for Miss Global Teen SA
b) Mr Winelands 2010 was top 12 Mr S A Finalist and won the Mr Photogenic SA 2010
c) Miss Winelands Pre Teen 2010, won Miss Pre Teen Africa 2010 title
d) Little Miss Winelands 2009, won the title Tiny Miss South Africa 2010
e) Miss Winelands 2011 was selected to represent South Africa at Miss Peace International and was a finalists in Northern Cypruss in August 2011
f) Winelands Winter Queen winner 2011, was automatically selected as semi finalist in Mrs South Africa
g) Mr Winelands 2011 was also in top 12 of Mr South Africa 2012 and on the final night was placed under top 5 and won 2 special awards: Mr Perfect Body SA and Sportsman of SA.
